What is Rss?
Rss is short for Really Simple Syndication is a form subscription which allows you to update your subscribers with the latest posts on your blog. Rss is mainly used by news websites where people would sign up for an rss feed in order to keep update about the latest news developments. However Rss feeds go way beyond news as more and more people have stated incorporating them into their blogs as a way of keeping their viewer ship updated about the latest posts.
Rss feeds are a great way to build a system high quality back links to your website as well as increase the amount of targeted traffic you receive. Almost any blog that comes online should incorporate an Rss feed.
Step no. 1 setting up a feed
Now the first step to setting up your rss feed is to sign up for a feed service such as feed burner. You will need to visit www.feedburner.com refer to the picture below.

Step no. 2. Adding your feed burner address
Once you successfully signup for feed burner you will receive a feed burner address. Which basically people will use to sign-up for a feed with. This feed burner address will either need to be entered manually into your rss feed directory or if you are using wordpress you will need to enter the address into the rss widget’s address field.
Step no. 3 A better and easier way
One of the most hassle free ways of placing a burner icon complete with functionality on your blog is to used feed burner’s own tool known as the publicize tool.

Here are the list of custom icons you can choose from
A. Click on the publicize tab above in your feed burner account (refer to the image above)
B. Then scroll down and copy the html code as shown in the picture below.

Here is where you enter in the html code you copied from feedburner's website
C. Then open up your wordpress admin, go to the widgets dialog and select the text widget and paste the html code there and press save. The following is shown below.
D. Your Button should look like the one on my blog in the screenshot below.
That is all there is to setting up your own Rss feed. Setting up rss is simple and fast. You don’t need to be a search engine optimization to set it up and even if this is your first time this rss tutorial should ensure that you set up your rss feed in under 30 minutes.
